Description
Silk brocade, woven rather than printed, so the cobalt has depth in it. Turn the cloth and the pattern surfaces and disappears again, which is the point of a brocade and the reason a flat blue never looks like this.
Sfifa braid is worked by hand around the high neck, down the front panel and along the borders. It is the oldest finishing detail in the house and the slowest, and it is what tells you the dress was made rather than assembled.
The cut is easy. Wide sleeves, a body that skims, a hem that lands above the knee. Nothing grips, which is why it holds through a long evening.
Made for cocktail hours, destination celebrations and dinners where the room is looking. Bare arms and a hard heel, or flats and nothing at the ears. It carries both.
