Moroccan caftans, finished by hand
2 piecesThe house silhouette, and the oldest one. A Moroccan caftan falls in one uninterrupted line from shoulder to hem, which is why the shape works on bodies that agree about very little else. Everything interesting happens at the edges: the neckline, the braided sfifa, the sleeve, the side slits that free the stride. Ours are cut in linen and in silk, embroidered by hand, and finished the way they have been made here for generations.
