Description
Dhahab means gold, and the thread running through this silk earns the name rather than borrowing it. The metal sits in the weave instead of printed on the surface, so it catches light from the side rather than flashing back at a camera.
This was a short run and each piece ships numbered. Whether it returns depends on whether the same thread is available again, and that has not always been true.
The silk is midweight and lined where the construction needs it. It hangs from the shoulder, which is the only way a set carrying this much metal in the cloth stays comfortable through a full evening.
If it is your size, it is not a piece to think about for a week.
