Description
Beldi means traditional. The Moonlight blouse is not remotely shy about light, which makes the name a small joke the atelier enjoys.
Dense sequin work is laid over silk rather than onto a synthetic base. That is why it moves and falls instead of standing away from the body the way most heavily sequinned tops do. The weight is real, and it hangs from the shoulder correctly.
The neckline stays modest and the sleeve stays full, so all the drama sits in the surface rather than in what the garment reveals. That balance is deliberate, and it is most of the reason this piece works at a family dinner as well as at a party.
Wear it with leather or with denim. Never with more sequins.
